Duane Mercer
CFO
Duane Mercer serves as Chief Financial Officer of Accurate Advisory Group, where he is responsible for the firm’s financial strategy, governance, and long-term planning. His role spans firm economics, budgeting, treasury, advisor compensation, contracting, credit oversight, and coordination across tax, insurance, and planning functions. As part of Accurate’s senior leadership, he plays a central role in setting the firm’s strategic direction and ensuring growth remains disciplined, sustainable, and aligned with the firm’s commitment to serving clients well.
Duane brings more than 20 years of experience across financial services, including senior financial and operational leadership within the wealth advisory industry. As CFO of Accurate, he has helped build the firm’s financial and operating foundation as the organization has expanded its advisory platform and national presence.
In 2019, Duane helped guide the establishment of Accurate Wealth Management as an SEC-registered investment adviser, supporting its regulatory formation, operating structure, and financial framework. He also played a key role in launching AAG Capital, the firm’s affiliated broker-dealer, contributing to its regulatory setup and ongoing oversight. These initiatives reflect his experience navigating complex regulatory environments while maintaining clarity, accountability, and strong governance.
Duane holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Information Systems Management and Finance from the University of South Florida. He is based in Tampa, Florida. Outside of work, Duane enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. As a native Floridian, he values time outdoors, especially time at the beach and traveling with family.
